The best time to book your newborn session is during your second trimester or early third trimester. Why? Because my schedule fills up quickly, and I want to make sure I have a spot reserved for you! By booking early, you’ll have one less thing to worry about as your due date approaches.

2. When Should the Session Take Place?

Newborn sessions are best done when your baby is between 5-14 days old. At this stage, babies are still very sleepy, love to be curled up, and can be gently posed for those sweet, cozy portraits. After the two-week mark, babies start to become more alert and may not settle as easily into those classic newborn poses.

3. What If Your Baby Comes Early or Late?

Don’t stress! When you book, I pencil in your due date as a placeholder. Once your baby arrives, we’ll finalize your session date within that perfect 5-14 day window. If your little one makes an early or late appearance, I’ll adjust my schedule as best as possible to accommodate you.

4. Last-Minute Bookings

Did your baby arrive and you just realized you want newborn photos? While I can’t guarantee availability, I always try my best to fit in last-minute requests. However, to avoid the risk of missing out, I highly recommend booking during pregnancy.
